Join lara pacheco of Atabey Medicine to lead a 6 weeks series learning the 'Ma Wang Dui Birds Qigong as taught and certified by Dr. Liu Dong of the Ling Gui International Healing Qigong School. Over six weeks we will learn this beautiful, elegant, and ancient form while also connecting and exploring some plant medicine as tea. Once participants register, you will be encouraged to purchase an accompanying booklet or e-booklet through theLing Gui International Healing Qigong School. After our six week series, participants will have learned this form to practice on their own. Tea will be provided in person.

We will conduct an anonymous poll at the start of class to see if anybody needs everyone to stay masked to be safe. If that need isn't present then individuals can choose to practice with or without masks. This is the best way for us to care for our most vulnerable.

lara pacheco (they/them/she/her) is a TaÃno, Latine mamita that believes part of our collective liberation is accessed through decolonizing ourselves and weaving into the web of ancestral medicine. lara directly works through this realm with plants, fungi, puppets, music and dance. lara founded Atabey Medicine of Seed and Thistle Apothecary, an educational resource that centers Queer, Trans and Gender fluid Black and Indigenous voices within herbalism. lara is a Qigong student with the Ling Gui International Healing Qigong School and in their final year with POCA Tech Liberation Acupuncture program to further help bring access to care to everyone.
