For Movement Professionals and others who Support Birthers

These are 3 distinct workshops that can be bundled for a well-rounded introduction to prenatal and postpartum care. These workshops are designed for yoga and movement teachers, as well as those supporting people through pregnancy and postpartum—including doulas, midwives, chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, counselors, and acupuncturists.

Together, these workshops explore how movement, body awareness, and education can support the experience of growing, birthing, and recovering from having a baby. The series moves from foundational concepts into more in-depth prenatal and postpartum applications.

Workshops can be taken individually, though each one builds on the last. Participants are encouraged to attend the full series for deeper integration. Shana and Megan look forward to sharing their passion and their combined expertise of over 40 years of supporting people who birth.

Workshop #1: Foundations of Prenatal & Postpartum Yoga

Friday, June 5th

5:30pm - 8:30pm

In-Person + Livestream

This introductory workshop offers a practical overview of prenatal and postpartum yoga, alongside a broader look at the physical and emotional experience of pregnancy and after birth. We will explore foundational concepts such as breath, body awareness, and the core and pelvic floor, and how these systems adapt during this time. We’ll also look at how everyday movement and simple practices can support comfort and wellbeing.

This session builds a strong base for yoga teachers and perinatal professionals, preparing them for deeper prenatal and postpartum study.

Workshop #2: Prenatal Yoga: Creating Balance & Alignment

Saturday, June 6th

This workshop focuses on how movement and body awareness during pregnancy can support the physical changes of growing a baby and support the baby’s positioning for birth.

We will explore the role of the breath and the core system- through a whole body lens- and how to support balance and alignment throughout pregnancy. The workshop includes embodied learning and application of prenatal yoga to support pregnant folks during all stages of pregnancy.
