FREE Yoga in the Park for ALL

Thursdays 6:00pm - 7:00pm in July and August at various Portland Parks

This summer we're excited to offer a new FREE series - Yoga in the Park for ALL - across Portland. BYMC teachers will hold classes at various Portland parks to connect with nature and community. Lead by Rotating Teachers: Danielle Jones, Kusum Rao, Ceci Orozco, Brianna Brawley, & Tara Sonali Miller

This program is made possible by a Vibrant Spaces grant from the City of Portland.

As with all BYMC classes, our focus will be moving and breathing together in community and with nature, rather than getting fit or making our bodies look a certain way. While we will be doing postural yoga (asana), and we won't have props to assist in making the shapes more accessible, we hope that you will feel absolutely free to move (or not move) as you feel is best for you on any given day. With this attitude, we hope the classes are open to all levels.

When you arrive, look for signs and balloons that will point you in the right direction of our sign-in table and class.

Please bring:

  • Yoga mat or blanket to practice on

  • Optionally, any props that would assist you in the practice (blanket, strap, blocks, etc).

  • Water
