About Georgia Sanford (they/them)

Having sustained several injuries as a dancer and former competitive horseback rider, Georgia came to Pilates as a means to rebalance and better understand their own body. Their teaching practice is firmly rooted in the study of the body through a kinesthetic and somatic lens as well as their interest in investigating and making more accessible the healing and connective power of movement.
Georgia aims to offer a safer, encouraging, and supportive space for all bodies. They have taught people living through a wide array of chronic conditions, injuries, intentions, abilities and experience/s to help them to strengthen their bodies from the inside out. Compassion, curiosity, and a sense of humor are at the core of Georgia's teaching practice.
