Yoga Nidra Fundraiser for Gaza Family

This class is a fundraiser for a friend of one of our teachers who recently escaped Gaza with her children and needs support to help sustain her family and help her husband who was not allowed to leave.

This is a practice for us to come back to the resource of our bodies, so that we can be in healing, authentic relationship with each other and participate in the collective action and care that is needed to build a more just and safe world for all beings. All donations will go to Rima Ahmed and her family.

In this practice you will:

  • Move gently to wake up the joints and vitality of the body Practice pranayama, movement of vital energy through breath

  • Be guided into yoga nidra, a deep meditative state where the body is relaxed and supported

  • Receive about 30 minutes of healing power through chanting of the Maha Mrityunjaya mantra for healing and protection

What should attendees have or bring with them?

  • Option to bring a journal to note anything that comes up for you during the practice

  • Livestream attendees should have blankets, a space on the ground to lay on, cushion, light pillow, and an eye pillow or ability to dim the lights in their space
