Festival of Lights Cultural Sound Bath

Feb 15, 2023
2 min read

A magical gathering of light, music, culture, and connection to share with family, friends, and loved ones.

Diwali, also known as Deepavali, comes from the Sanskrit words Deepa (lamp) and Avali (row), meaning “a row of lights.” One of India's most beloved festivals, Diwali celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, wisdom over ignorance, and hope over despair.

This year, we invite you to experience Diwali in a unique and intimate way—through the beauty of Indian culture, sacred music, meditation, and a deeply restorative sound bath.

Allow yourself to be carried by Moksha's angelic, soulful voice, ancient Sanskrit mantras, the mesmerizing melodies of the handpan, resonant crystal singing bowls, delicate chimes, and other sacred instruments. These sounds will weave together into a soothing, meditative journey, inviting deep rest, inner connection, and a sense of peace.

Through traditional mantras honoring Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha and goddess Kali, lord Rama and goddess Sita, we will welcome the qualities of abundance, gratitude, wisdom, and new beginnings.

Whether you grew up celebrating Diwali or are experiencing this beautiful Indian tradition for the first time, you are warmly welcome.

Let us illuminate not only the space around us, but also the light within.

About Mokshajyoti Chakraborty (She/Her)

Mokshajyoti is the creator of Moss & Moksha and a trauma-informed self-expression guide who creates gentle, heart-centered sound experiences rooted in presence, safety, and belonging. With a background in Indian Hindustani classical vocals, she weaves voice and sound as embodied practices rather than performance.

Her sound baths blend handpan, crystal singing bowls, chimes, subtle percussion, intuitive vocal tones, and simple chants to create slow, immersive soundscapes that support nervous system regulation and heart coherence. The melodic quality of her voice is offered as a grounding, soothing presence—inviting listeners to soften, rest, and reconnect with themselves.

Mokshajyoti’s work centers on self-love, authentic expression, and emotional attunement, offering spaces where people feel welcomed exactly as they are. Through sound and stillness, she invites participants into deeper connection—within themselves and with the shared field of community.
