ABOUT THE FACILITATORS

Ceci Orozco (she/sher)
I was born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and moved to Portland, Oregon in 2015. For me, activating and connecting with my whole body through yoga and other embodied movement practices has enabled me to be with the ever-expanding experience of Self and to plug myself back to Source–in a way that is deeply informed and supported by values of interconnection, care, and healing.
I’ve been leading yoga and wellness retreats in my home country of Mexico since 2018. It truly is a joy and honor to share with others about my cultural roots and traditions, and to pair that with the teachings of yoga. We go on these retreats to rest and receive nourishment from the teachings and practices of yoga and Ayurveda, as well as to immerse ourselves in the local culture. I look forward to moving and breathing and celebrating the new year in the beautiful Chacala, Mexico.
Certifications: Yoga Instructor ~ 300hr Ayurvedic Clinical Foundations ~ Skill in action 75hr CE ~ Relational Herbalism ~ Postpartum Doula ~ 2nd-year Graduate student, Leadership for Sustainability Education at Portland State University.

Tara Sonali Miller (they/she)
As a South Asian, queer person, yoga, for me, is everything. It is pure bliss, it is heartbreaking, it is confusing and hard, it’s essential and rooting, it’s connection to lineage and ancestors in a way that is blurry and felt, it is energizing and exhausting in all the realms - mind, body, spirit.
I feel and believe in the liberatory power and potential of yoga. In its capacity to move us deeper towards individual and collective healing, into true interdependence with each other and with the earth. In my personal practice and in my teaching, I strive to center this potential in all its complexities, and to create a trauma-sensitive container that facilitates curiosity, rest, stability, ease, play, connection, and release.
I am honored to co-own and steward The Bhakti Yoga Movement Center, where I also teach yoga & movement classes and co-direct the SOMA School of Yoga and Somatics. I completed a 300hr Yoga Teacher Training Certification with the Bhakti Yoga Movement Center under its previous ownership, as well as many other yoga and movement continuing education certificates, including Advanced Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra training with Khushi Malhotra. I am also a graduate of the Brownswell Healing Coaching Program with Kirin Bhatti and currently enrolled in the Mind Body Coaching Certificate program with Embody Lab.
